Mixed Feelings have no problems what so ever with travelling, as the group is made up of professional musicians and singers – in actual fact getting the band together to travel a long distance in a Minibus/Coach is good for morale.
Harrogate was where Mixed Feelings performed and entertained the BVAA at a splendid venue called Rudding Park Hotel, Follifoot, Harrogate.
After a tremendous journey with constant delays, roadwork’s, breakdowns and accidents, Mixed Feelings still made the journey on time, and were professionally set and sound checked with time to spare.
Set in a lovely area, The Rudding Park Hotel is a lovely venue.
For nearly 80 years the British Valve & Actuator Association (BVAA) has been the Industry voice representing UK Valve manufacturers, core supply chain partners and distributor organisations to the end users across the globe. With over 200 members the Association has grown to be one of the largest representative bodies in the UK and plays an important role in developing engineering standards in the Industry.
In November 2017, at the BVAA Annual General Meeting, Severn Glocon Group Director, Colin Findlay, took up the Chairman’s role for the next 3 years. The role of the Chairman is to run the Supervisory Board made up of 10 Directors who represent the members, and also lead the activity of the Association ensuring that it provides value to its members and is active in representing the valve industry where necessary.
One thing Mixed Feelings is looking forward to is that they get the chance to do it all again next year!
