Mixed Feelings can pretty much turn their hand to anything.
Having been established for over 40 years, (with no remaining original members) reputation and professionalism is the key factor.
Apart from being one of the UK’s biggest and best party bands, Mixed Feelings also come under the umbrella as a Show Band, Dance Band, Wedding Band, Function Band and also a Tribute Band.
Mixed Feelings were asked to perform at Twickenham Stadium recently to entertain the staff and management of Currie Motors.
A tribute band was what the client requested, and a tribute band was delivered.
The bands first set consisted of ‘Queen’ songs, and what a great performance it was, with a well deserved standing ovation at the end.
After the main course was cleared, the band then went back to the stage to perform 3 short acts of, ‘Grease’ ‘Spice Girls’ and ‘Take That’, which included all the old classics and had the people in the audience literally rocking and bopping in their chairs.
Currie Motors requested a tribute act to entertain people in between the meal courses, and were not expected to get up and dance, as no dance floor was present, and it was a sell out in a very tight room – how wrong they were.
The band went back to the stage after the dessert was cleared, and played a set of all the old ‘Cheesy’ classics which included, Amarillo, New York New York and Hi Ho Silver Lining.
For an audience not expected to dance, the whole place was up and dancing on and around the tables.
A fantastic party and an awesome crowd.
Thank you Currie Motors, and Twickenham for having us.
We hope to see you both very soon.
